A warm welcome awaits you at New Life Ramsey

We are an independent, evangelical church in the heart of Ramsey on the Isle of Man. Our Sundays services are at 11 am, which are an informal time of worship with mostly modern worship songs (and a few older hymns), Bible teaching and times of prayer.

A Little Bit of History…

The church has been meeting in this building since the 1830’s, firstly as a Primitive Methodist church. Later, when the main church moved to a new site in Parliament Street (on the site of Millichaps, now demolished), a group chose to remain here as a witness to the surrounding area and they joined the Independent Methodist Connexion* in 1892.

A lot may have changed in the years since then, but God hasn’t changed, and neither has our need of the new life He gives us through Jesus Christ – and because of that, we are still here to be a witness to those around us.

In 2013, we started a new phase of the work; the New Life Church project, which aimed to bring new life into the old church. This has grown to define what the church is today, and so to reflect this change, we adopted the new name of New Life Ramsey in 2023.

* The Independent Methodist Connexion is a group of independent (self-governing) evangelical churches joined to provide help and mutual support to one another.
